Chianti Wine Glasses

(5 products)

The Chianti wine region is located in central Tuscany, Italy, and is famous for the straw ‘fiasco’ basket that the squat bottle sits within. Although a somewhat traditional aspect, some winemakers still use this technique today. The Sangiovese grape makes up most of the Chianti blend, with the likes of Merlot and Syrah grapes also included. The traditional shape for a Chianti glass is similar to that of a Bordeaux; the bowl is slightly smaller in width and height but with a considerably lower capacity.
