Fortified Wine Glasses

A ’fortified wine’ is a wine to which additional alcohol has been added. Wines were originally fortified to help preserve them longer, but as more consumers grew to love the flavours of sherry, port, muscat, and Madeira, they were soon produced for taste rather than preservation.
