As a practical and functional object becoming an art item, it is an integral part of the history of the Aubrac people in France. The sommelier corkscrew takes you back to the ‘bougnats’ in the early 19th century when the Aubrac farmers left their mountains to reach Paris to deliver wood and coal for heating.

In the 1950s, thanks to their hard work and savings, the ‘bougnats’ acquired establishments and transformed their business into breweries. Today, they form the ‘bistrocracy’ of the Aveyronnais in Paris, where the corkscrew is a must-have!

Wineware is a certified stockist and supplies genuine Laguiole corkscrews.
