Energy Changes Explained...

As a result of developing more energy-efficient appliances, nearly all large domestic appliances are at the top of the energy label scale, clustered between A++ and A+++. Therefore, the EU energy label scale will be adjusted to reintroduce the simpler A to G scale, with no pluses, making it easier for consumers to compare products.

The rescaling means that products currently in the A+++ energy class will be D and E under the new structure. However, this does NOT mean they are less energy efficient; many of Liebherr's changes mean that the products you will see as D or E use less energy than a current A+++ product.
