This private underground room in a private home in London has now been transformed into a beautiful temperature-controlled wine room ideal for storing various wines, champagnes, and more. The room has a beautiful bespoke glass wall and door, allowing a lovely flow of light throughout. The client requested that we install the bespoke wine racking so they could enjoy storing their wine collection.
Due to the variation of different bottle storage systems, such as cellar cubes, individual bottle holes, display sections, case racks, work surfaces, etc., the room can store over 2,500 bottles (208+ cases). The homeowner personally arranged the bespoke glass wall and door, and it really does show the collection off fantastically. As you come down the stairs, the immediate impact is impressive—you're met with this wine spectacle!
The room's height meant the customer required a ladder to access the bottles stored higher up within the racking. We provided a solution in the form of a bespoke matching oak ladder that is moveable around the room.
All of the racking provided to this private home in London is made from solid oak. Most of the units were constructed offsite before delivery to the property to minimise on-site installation time.
